XS Manchester: Saved!

You may remember my first article was calling for the station to be saved from being turned into Capital Xtra.

Proposals were made in October to Ofcom to change the station into a more ‘urban’ friendly style – which would cause the things that make XS Manchester unique to be lost, like the promotion of new Mancunian artists. This could potentially be detrimental for new acts, as trying to make a name for themselves in such a saturated market can be difficult - especially in a City such as Manchester and so as far as I am concerned, the preservation of XS Manchester is amazing.

As Clint Boon said in his recent tweet regarding the saving of XS Manchester, the radio station is “destined to be the greatest the city has ever had”, and I know I’m not the only one glad to see it staying with us.

Well Done XS Manchester, I’m happy you’re staying with us here.
